Christmas has been known throughout history as a time for family, holiday traditions, togetherness, and even a reminder of the simpler times. However, before the 19th Century, Christmas was a completely unfamiliar concept, without so much as the day off from work. This special holiday only truly caught on following the release of a press photo, depicting Queen Victoria decorating a tree with the royal family, and the Christmas spirit as we know it took on a whole new meaning.
Now, when we celebrate the Christmas season, holiday traditions and festive décor pay homage to the simpler days of celebration from the Victorian period. Recreate the magic of this era with the Anita Goodesign Special Edition collection, Victorian Christmas Quilt!
Nothing evokes Christmas quite like snowy scenes, Santa, and stuffed stockings. Now, you can combine all the best parts of this special season into one beautiful quilt. You will learn a variety of techniques like crazy quilt, tile scenes, small blocks, applique frame blocks, typography, and borders. You will have a plethora of designs to incorporate into the perfect Christmas quilt. Whether you stitch it as a gift or use these designs to deck your own halls for the holidays, we’re certain these Victorian designs will bring a sleigh full of cheer to your home this holiday!
