Anita Goodesign Victorian Christmas Quilt Class with Ollie Gray
The Anita Goodesign Victorian Christmas Quilt Class with Ollie Gray will be held on October 26, 2019. Instruction will begin at 9:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM for a total of 6 hours. The Retreat Center will remain open until 8 PM for those who want to continue sewing after instruction ends. The class requires a minimum of 6 students to be held and will be capped at a maximum of 10 students. Feel free to bring snacks or lunch for the day. There are also several restaurants in the area.
Christmas has been known throughout history as a time for family, holiday traditions, togetherness, and even a reminder of the simpler times. However, before the 19th Century, Christmas was a completely unfamiliar concept, without so much as the day off from work. This special holiday only truly caught on following the release of a press photo, depicting Queen Victoria decorating a tree with the royal family, and the Christmas spirit as we know it took on a whole new meaning.

* Please note, not all blocks will fit in 4″ x 4″ hoops. Hoop sizes required are 4″ x 4″ to 9.5″ x 14″ to complete all the blocks included in this design.
Supplies Required:
- Embroidery Machine and accessories (needles, pins, scissors, rotary cutter, rulers, etc)
- Medium Weight Tear-Away Stabilizer
- No-Show Mesh Stabilizer
- Batting
- Embroidery Thread
- Fabric (This quilt allows you to mix multiple fabrics and colors so be creative)
- Licensed copy of the Victorian Christmas Quilt Design
- The Design can be ordered from our online store (limited copies available of All Access Club November 2018), Anita Goodesign online store (Special Edition Download – Use Dealer Code ARCPA), or purchased on your own if you do not already own the design.
Note: The amount of fabric required will depend on the size of your quilt. Please review the tutorial before selecting your fabric and supplies. The project is designed for 3 sizes:
- Size AA – 68″ x 34″ finished size. Requires embroidery hoops that can embroider at least 9″ x 13.8″ and 9″ x 9″
- Size A – 60″ x 30″ finished size. Requires embroidery hoops that can embroider at least 7.8″ x 11.8″ and 7.8″ x 7.8″
- Size B – 52″ x 26″ finished size. Requires embroidery hoops that can embroider at least 6.8″ x 10.2″ and 6.8″ x 6.8″
